Artist's Description

As the maiden holds the earth and waters from which she came, she sees that she too can sculpt and build. As she sculpts the elements, she learns of the primary colors that she can combine. The ripples that she causes in the waters and the earth become a tower to her own kingdom. May she discover more of the power in her own hands!

About Michael Shipman

Michael Shipman

Michael grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and still resides there. His paintings, drawings, and sculptures traverse the dramas of the primordial colors and figures. The characters materialize from and dissolve back into rugged landscapes like those of the West. Whatever this means, as you browse the art itself, it will evoke its own meaning and enjoyment!
